Project manager – capital building projects (contractor) Are you an experienced and motivated capital building project manager looking for a new challenge? We seek a highly organised and detail-oriented person to drive significant improvements to our hospice buildings and facilities for patients, visitors, staff, and volunteers. Mountbatten Hampshire has secured capital funding for the project, which will create a safe, effective, person-centred, modern hospice environment for our communities. Prior to becoming an independent charity in 2019, the hospice buildings, site and facilities had suffered from significant underinvestment over many years. Improvements include refurbishing the inpatient unit bays, creating a spiritual space, installing an outdoor cabin for groups and therapies, and refurbishing the Education Centre to relocate our community team of nurses and carers. Further capital projects are in the planning stage and are subject to securing additional capital funding. The role is on a self-employed or sub-contracted role for up to two days a week, initially for a fixed term of 12 months, although this may be extended with further funding for capital projects across both Mountbatten Hampshire and Isle of Wight. The role will require flexible and on-site working. Salary: £22,000 per annum for two days per week The role is initially primarily based at Mountbatten Hampshire, but occasional travel to Mountbatten Isle of Wight may also be required.
