In 2023, Mountbatten Hampshire’s amazing walkers raised an incredible £6,432 (£7,499, thanks to gift aid). We are aiming to beat that this year. Why Walk the Test Way for Mountbatten Hampshire? Apart from the chance to enjoy a spot of nature, take on a challenge and get your steps in, this a brilliant way to help fund our Southampton-based hospice and 24/7 community services, which reach over 1,600 people across Hampshire in any one day. Charities like ours are facing a funding crisis. One third of the money we receive, to continue supporting the county's residents, comes from the NHS. The amount we get has not been rising in line with inflation. Meanwhile our costs have gone up and we are having to rely on donations and fundraising more than ever. The money you raise when you Walk the Test Way is received directly by Mountbatten, before 20 per cent of the total is passed on to the Rotary Club of Romsey Test (funding charitable activities and covering the event's costs).
